Linda Morgan

Interview with Linda

My full name is Linda Ann (Barth) Morgan.

What do your fellow Twisted Sisters lovingly call you?

At Twisted Sisters I’m probably called bi-otch a lot.  Or just my name a lot…I daydream too much.

Most important, what’s your sign?

Aquarius. You definitely need to know this so you can celebrate my birthday month.

How did your journey bring you to Twisted Sisters?

I started out as an elementary teacher. Somewhere along that journey, I became tired of battling administration and bureaucracy and left teaching (it shouldn’t be about test scores, it should be about teaching children).  After a couple of years as a stay-at-home-mom, my sister and I became caregivers to our father. Our mom had passed away suddenly and left us with dad living in a large house and suffering from dementia, along with a gutted condo ready for a remodel.  We spent a lot of time together caring for him and began daydreaming Twisted Sisters.  Eventually the planned was formed, the space was rented and we had a gift shop!

What are you known for professionally, what do you have a keen eye or knack for?

Don’t think I have a knack for anything specific. I’m an adequist (anyone who believes in a good enough lifestyle). I love to try many different things, but don’t think I’m overly great at any one thing.

What are you most passionate about?

Living in the woods on a lake.  I’ve always been a county girl at heart, and now I’m living my dream.  Every window has a beautiful view!

What’s your favorite corner of the store?

The kitchen stuff.

What’s your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?

Enjoying the gorgeous views from my county home on the water.

Any non-profits you love?

Anything for education, especially at the elementary level. Teachers spend too much of their own money for the classroom. So anything to help.  Flat Rock YMCA camp is very important to me.  I was a camper, a counselor, and now I serve on the Board of Directors. Every once in a while, I collect towels and blankets for the Humane Society.  They can always use your old towels and  blankets.

If you were a Golden Girl, which would you be and why?

I’m not any one specific Golden Girl, but more of a mix. Sometimes I’m Dorothy and sometimes I’m Rose. Mostly Rose, I don’t listen/pay attention, so I never really know what is going on around me. Occasionally, I can be practical like Dorothy.
